Tag: cockpit table The AFI Teak cockpit Table from West Marine fits nicely on the C320, but has that annoying fold down leg that is easily kicked. I modified the cockpit table support system to remove the leg and use an angled brace instead. I reused the SS hinge that was for the leg and made a new bracket to support the table. I used a wood called IPE (or IronWood) for the new bracket leg and bracket since it is strong, looks kind of like teak and I had lots of it on hand.
  • The new support bracket folds down out of the way.

  • Front view of table with the new support bracket. It seems quite solid and stable. Much better than with the stock fold down table leg.Now we have much more leg room.
