Our solution for Reefing/furling the Genoa. We installed a Spinlock turning block. The line can be led to the winch easily, has its own lock and is easy to cleat off. There is also no danger of damaging the rail and since the lines are low to the deck, there's no trip hazard getting in/out of the boat through the lifelines on that side.
