The white formica on the top started to de-laminate and was starting to get a little tired looking. We also had issues with a rats nest of charging cords for phones, ipods, Nintendos, and other items. My goal was to create a new top that looks more like the newer MKII units with a twist of having abundant USB Charging ports, extra 12v outlets and a small inverter all tucked out of sight with just a desk grommet for feeding feeding cables to the devices.
